- #RAISETHESTARS was a trending topic on Twitter
On top of those amazing stats, we had the joy over the past day reading all of your tweets/Facebook posts about the EP as well as iTunes and AmazonMP3 reviews. We’re humbled to say the least. The success of this EP so far is a total surprise and shock to us!
Here are a couple of reviews we read on Amazon.com that we thought we’d share:
“Skyhook graces us again with an amazing showing of melodic rock and the strength of not one but two great lead vocalists. Beautiful harmonies, slamming music, and superb lyrics means a must buy. Not to mention these are a great group of guys. Had the pleasure of providing sound for them and they are terrific on and off stage. Buy this EP!” - livevertical
“What a powerful showing for a great group of guys! Skyhook did an excellent job building anticipation for this release, and I was not disappointed. The songwriting is thoughtful and intentional, with lyrics that ring true without the cheese that’s present in so much Christian music nowadays. The musical performances are truly inspiring, with the drum parts (I’m a drummer) clever and solid. The drums sound fantastic, really settled in the mix, but still…well…rocking your face off. The guitars are thick and full, punchy when needed, and almost atmospheric when called for. I was impressed with the keyboards, as well. Good choices on the tones themselves, and the parts don’t beg for attention (like most bands in this genre) but never fail to impress.
And the vocals? Geez.
Buy this album, you won’t regret it. Then see them live, where you can buy their merch. My shirt is purple. I’m totally secure in my manhood…” - Eric The Drummer Guy
Keep the reviews and thoughts coming in! We’ll be posting stuff throughout the week!
Burn out the blackness… RAISE THE STARS.
